Become a Sourland Conservancy Business Partner

The Sourland Conservancy understands the importance of building relationships with local businesses and is proud to be partners with a number of local companies. These companies benefit from knowing that their support helps sustain the Sourland Mountain's natural beauty, unique ecology and rich heritage, helping to make this area such a great place to live and do business. They also have the opportunity to involve their employees in active support through our volunteer program and to promote their company at our many events, including the Sourland Mountain Festival and the Sourland Spectacular bike ride. Sourland Cycles:

Website: www.sourlandcycles.com

“My wife and I have been supporters of the Sourland Conservancy for many years, long before I opened the store. So becoming a business partner was an easy step as it combines our store philosophy of community involvement with a cause we personally have long supported.  The other factor from a bike rider’s perspective is that preserved land and the natural beauty of our little corner of New Jersey is what makes this area such a good place to live and ride your bike.

Being able to promote the business in an exclusive environment at events that contribute and celebrate our “best-kept secret” among our friends, neighbors and like-minded people makes for a good business opportunity and the Sourland Conservancy is a great partner.” – Mike Gray, Sourland Cycles

Sourland Cycles is a full-service bike shop selling everything from kids bikes to high performance road and mountain bikes. It is also the only store in the area with a wide variety of electric bikes.

On East Broad Street in the heart of Hopewell borough, Sourland Cycles was designed to be a retail space for cyclists and service. They feel their exceptional service and community engagement is the best way to distinguish yourself in the age of internet sales. We strive to achieve this every day.   The service area  is out in the open, mechanics are accessible to help handle questions of all types. The goal is for every bike to be finished by Friday so that no one has to miss a weekend of riding in the beautiful Sourland mountains.

 Sourland Mountain Spirits

Website: www.SourlandSpirits.com

“Sourland Mountain Spirits, located where I love and live.  My family and I love where we live in the heart of the Sourlands and wanted to build a business making world class craft spirits that reflected the spirit and history and wonder of the Sourlands.  We wanted to support the conservancy’s work on presevring the sourlands and making it accessible to the public.” – Ray Disch, Sourland Mountain Spirits

“In December of 2014, Sourland Mountain Spirits founder Ray Disch decided he was ready for a new challenge.  Just the year before, craft distilling became legal in New Jersey so creating a local distillery in his hometown of Hopewell seemed like an exciting endeavor.  Working with a team of accomplished, visionary partners who listened to his dream and helped him bring it to life, Ray was able to grow Sourland Mountain Spirits from a mere idea to a real business which is now the First Farm Distillery in New Jersey Since Prohibition.  His spirts are now available in over 180 stores state wide.  Sourland Mountain Spirits has gin, barrel aged bin, vodka, silver and gold rum, bourbon and apple brandy are currently aging in barrels.

“The Sourland Mountains with their rich history of farmers, bootleggers, rebels, patriots, fine craftsmen and artisans, is the perfect setting for the Distillery.  Drawing from an aquifer at the base of the Sourland range, our spirits are made using pure water filtered through micro-fractures in the geologic formations of the mountains, protected by the largest contiguous forest in Central New Jersey. The distillery’s location surrounded by farms gives us the opportunity to develop a program of incorporating the freshest ingredients into our carefully crafted spirits.  From herbs to fruit to grain, there is a plethora of sustainable options that we can choose from to truly make our spirits stand apart.” (sourlandspirits.com)
