The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has postponed the final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) deadline for two months.
Here is the new FERC Schedule for Environmental Review:
Issuance of Notice of Availability of the final EIS: February 17, 2017 90
90-day Federal Authorization Decision Deadline: May 18, 2017
FERC has given PennEast 20 days to respond to many of the concerns submitted to them regarding the lack of data, the potential significant environmental impacts and the lack of demonstrated public need. See www.thecostofthepipeline.com for a list of some of the items about which FERC is asking for a PennEast response.
FERC recently announced a 30-day comment period in light of route changes proposed after the Draft EIS comment period. Continue to submit your comments about the incomplete and inaccurate DEIS!
Remember, together we can stop the PennEast Pipeline!
